The most effective smartphone OS for mobile advertising? Symbian. No, really. At least according to mobile advertising firm Smaato, which has justpublished metrics saying so. If the average Click Through Rate (CTR) is 100, Symbian scores 161 according to Smaato's data. That compares to 119 for iPhone and iPod touch, 112 for Windows Mobile, 84 for feature phones and just 65 for Android. Palm and BlackBerry (28 and 26 respectively) bring up the rear. (...)
