Mobile Ad Tag 2.0 Now Available

This one particularly goes out to all the publishers using our Smaato Ad Tag for integration. We’re excited to announce one of our biggest Ad Tag updates yet: the Ad Tag 2.0. With rewritten code and extended functional capabilities, we’ve made a substantial step in terms of our Ad Tag offering. If you’re integrated with us via Ad Tag (or are interested in doing so), we’ve got quite a few additions and improvements in store for you!

Some Highlights of the Ad Tag 2.0:

    • Complete Rewrite:
      We’ve rewritten the whole Ad Tag from scratch for lower latency and improved performance.
    • Merging In-App & Mobile Web Ad Tag Integration:
      We’ve got one single, unified Smaato Ad Tag for all types of adspaces!
    • Intelligent User ID Detection:
      Leveraging the potential of macros, we’ve increased our capabilities of detecting user IDs.
    • Callbacks:
      Now you can use callbacks to measure successful ad delivery – or to pass a request to another source after a “no ad”-response.
    • Easier Ad Request Parameter Handling:
      We’ve enabled the use of JSON objects for that.
    • Better Rich Media Support:
      Ad Tag 2.0 also offers MRAID support.
